No PPOCC meeting in
September. But what about a mini getaway to New Hampshire on September
13-16th? The annual convention of the Professional Photographers
Association of New England will be held at the Radisson Hotel,
Nashua, NH.
If you are a member of PPANE you're eligible to attend for free, share
a hotel room for as little as $50 per night, and learn successful
business practices from the best talent in our industry.
Visit their website for more info: PPANE Convention
Two reasons to attend: Sunday &
Monday is the Trade Show. This is the largest in New England and a
wonderful opportunity to play with the newest camera equipment, compare
the many different album styles and buy camera/computer paraphernalia
at great savings.
Take note of Tuesday's all day seminar:
Michael and Tina Timmons "How to Make More Money"
Consider carpooling. Post on the google
group the days you will attend. It is always more fun to travel with
fellow photogs.

Kudos to All
The annual lobster cookout was a great success! Thank you to all that
helped with the setup, especially after the rain, and with clean up. Fritz
Bosch's tent lighting and music created a wonderful atmosphere for the
evening. And once again, Steve Chaulk of Anderson-Chaulk Clambakes
cooked up a feast.
Generous
Donations = Success
The PPOCC Charity is official with the first fundraising event bringing
in a total of $300. Our sponsors were generous with their donations and
our members made it a success.
Charlie Pool, of Natural Color Lab and Richard Nolette, The Framing
Fool, gave Celtics tickets and a framed print to be auctioned off to
the highest bidder, which was won by Frank Coombs. This is a direct
donation to help with the medical expenses incurred this summer by
photographer, Amy Rader.
